Job summary

A leading veterinary organization in Dundee is seeking a Veterinary Nurse for a weekends role. You will provide essential emergency pet care, including triage and diagnostics. The ideal candidate is RCVS registered and has a passion for animal care. The role offers competitive pay of up to £20 per hour and generous benefits, including private medical insurance and a CPD allowance.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

  • First Aid - give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
  • Critical Care - management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
  • Diagnostics - confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
Key requirements
  • RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
  • Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
  • Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.
  • Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
Working pattern

1:4 weekends, Saturday and Sunday nights 19:00-09:00
