A leading veterinary care provider in Eastleigh is seeking a motivated Veterinary Nurse for weekend shifts. This role supports emergency care through direct clinical treatment including triage and diagnostics. The ideal candidate is RCVS registered and passionate about animal welfare. A weekend role with Vets Now allows you to further your ECC knowledge, whilst gaining a second income or balancing family commitments. You can work as little as two shifts per month; our current available hours are listed below.

Working hours:

• Week 1: No shifts
• Week 2: Saturday 18.00–00.00 or Sunday 09.00-18.00 and 18.00-00.00
• Week 3: Saturday 12.00-19.30 or Sunday 09.00-18.00
• Week 4: Sunday 09.00-18.00 and 18.00-00.00

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in‑patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in‑patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

• Experience with an ECC caseload is advantageous.
