Job summary
Medivet Little Hadham is seeking a full-time qualified Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly 3-Vet practice supported by 2 RVNs and 3 SVNs. You will perform nurse consults, assist in surgeries, and cover reception duties while delivering high-quality care in-house imaging and biochemistry facilities.
The rota is a 4-day week with 9.5-hour shifts, plus a 1 in 6 weekend rota at Enfield 24-Hour Hospital with alternating early and late shifts.
Qualifications
- RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse required.
- Experience in nurse consults and diverse surgical support.
- Strong team player with good communication.
Responsibilities
- Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
- Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
- Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
- Deliver patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
- If relevant: Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
- Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
