Job summary

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in London is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to support veterinary surgeons across the three Battersea sites. You will assist in examinations, treatments, operative surgery, and preventive care, upholding high animal welfare and nursing standards in line with Battersea and RCVS guidelines.

The role is 40 hours per week, with some weekends and bank holidays on a rota, and a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with current registration (RCVS).
• Experience in small animal practice preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinary surgeons in examinations and treatments.
• Ensure high standards of animal welfare and nursing care.
• Contribute to operative surgery, preventive medicine and infection control.
• Follow Battersea and RCVS General Practice Standards.
