Join a Dedicated Night Nursing Team
Are you an experienced and compassionate RVN looking to build your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment? This Watford based Hospital is currently seeking a part-time Night Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a team at this busy, well-equipped 24-hour hospital in Hertfordshire.
This is a permanent position offering the chance to develop and refine your expertise in both medical and surgical nursing. You’ll work alongside a veterinary surgeon and another experienced RVN during your shifts, allowing for excellent teamwork and shared learning opportunities. The practice is a hub for both first-opinion and advanced veterinary care, handling a diverse and complex caseload. State-of-the-art facilities and modern technology create the ideal setting for career progression and hands-on experience.
The role operates on a 7 nights on, 7 nights off rota, giving you the benefit of a balanced work-life schedule while providing continuity of care to patients.
They offer a range of benefits designed to support your wellbeing and professional development. you’ll have access to a health cash plan covering dental, physio and optical services, along with 24/7 access to a private GP and counselling support. Life assurance is provided at three times your salary, and you’ll enjoy five weeks of annual leave plus Bank Holidays, rising to six weeks with length of service. You’ll also receive an additional paid ‘Day for You’ each year to use however you wish.
To support your continued learning, they provide a £750 annual CPD allowance with two paid CPD days, as well as access to internal learning resources and Clinical Communities. They fund certificate opportunities and cover your VDS and RCVS fees. Further support includes a workplace pension, Cycle to Work scheme, and staff discounts.
As a Night RVN your role will be essential in maintaining the exceptional standard of care. You’ll be involved in all aspects of patient monitoring, surgical support, medication administration and client communication. You’ll manage admissions and discharges, support out-of-hours care, and ensure compliance with clinical and operational procedures. Collaboration and communication with your team will be key to delivering the high-quality service the clients and patients expect.
They seek an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse with experience in delivering excellent patient care and client support. You’ll be a confident team player with a strong understanding of nurse-led consults and Schedule 3 procedures, and you’ll use your coaching and influencing skills to help bring out the best in those around you.
