Chattyvets in Blackburn, Lancashire is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon for a busy small animal practice with a strong surgical focus. With 3+ years in small animal practice and RCVS registration, you will manage a diverse caseload and further develop your clinical skills within a supportive team.

This full-time role offers a 4‑day week (38 hours), visa sponsorship, and excellent facilities including multiple operating theatres and a dedicated dental suite.

Are you an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon looking for your next opportunity in Blackburn, Lancashire?

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Veterinary Surgeon with 3+ years' experience to join a supportive and inclusive team in a busy small animal practice. With a diverse caseload, excellent facilities and a strong surgical focus, this role offers plenty of opportunity to develop your clinical skills while making a genuine difference to pets and their owners.

The Role

You'll have the opportunity to manage a diverse range of cases and develop your skills across both general practice and surgery, with the clinic seeing a substantial surgical caseload including orthopaedic cases.

The working pattern is:

• 38 hours per week
• 4-day working week
• 1:4 or less Saturday day rota
• Full-time, permanent position following probation
• Visa sponsorship available

About You

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least 3 years' experience who is confident working in a busy small animal environment.

You'll ideally:

• Be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
• Have 3+ years' experience in small animal practice
• Be confident managing a varied medical and surgical caseload
• Have an interest in or experience with surgery
• Be keen to develop your clinical skills
• Have excellent communication and client care skills
• Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a supportive team

Orthopaedic experience would be advantageous, given the strong surgical caseload, but this is also an excellent opportunity for a vet looking to further develop their surgical skills.
