Job summary

The Boeing Company in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Technician within the MRO team. You will perform maintenance tasks, interpret technical data, and ensure work is correctly certified under approved data and authorisations.

You will apply knowledge of aircraft systems and woodworking/electrical/mechanical tooling to meet quality standards, mentor apprentices, and participate in improvement initiatives while supporting key programmes with discipline and safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

  • Recognised relevant trade apprenticeship or trade training equivalent.
  • Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and processes applicable to the aviation environment (Human Factors, FOD control, tool control, health & safety & COSHH).
  • Experience in either commercial or defence would be considered.
  • Proficient computer skills, use of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Be an effective team member.

Responsibilities

  • Report to a Supervisor and conduct maintenance tasks following Approved Technical Data and authorised documentation.
  • Execute aircraft maintenance activities to meet schedule milestones and manage workloads.
  • Deliver aircraft maintenance under Boeing MAA MRP Part 145 approval or MOD customer approval.
  • Assemble, disassemble, modify or repair aircraft systems/structures/electronics.
  • Troubleshoot complex aircraft systems to isolate faults using technical data.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to peers as appropriate.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement workshops and projects.
  • Oversee Apprentices or Trainees as directed and mentor them.
  • Mitigate risks and stop work when required and report issues promptly.
  • Maintain open and honest reporting culture.
