Job summary

Astute People is partnering with a global leader in vertical access to recruit a vertical access installation engineer to support onshore and offshore installations across the UK. The role offers a salary of £33,000–£35,000 basic plus guaranteed overtime, door-to-door travel time, stayaway allowances and paid accommodation, with excellent learning and development opportunities.

You will install equipment, read drawings, perform mechanical and electrical installation, testing and commissioning,

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 in mechanical or electrical field.
• Willing to work nationwide onshore/offshore.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use hand/power tools.
• Strong focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Install and assemble vertical access equipment in accordance with drawings and manufacturer specifications.

The vertical access installation engineer role comes with a salary of £33,000 - £35,000 basic, plus guaranteed overtime on installs, door to door travel time, stayaway allowances and more.

Responsibilities and duties of the vertical access installation engineer role

Reporting to the engineering manager you will:

• Install and assemble vertical access equipment in accordance with drawings and manufacturer specifications.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Diagnose and resolve technical and installation issues.
• Ensure all work meets health, safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Professional qualifications

NVQ level 3 in a mechanical or electrical field

Personal skills

The vertical access installation engineer role would suit someone who has:

• Previous engineering, mechanical, electrical, or installation experience.
• Relevant vertical access experience is desirable.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use hand/power tools.
