Manor School is seeking a Verbal Behaviour Tutor to join our outstanding provision for pupils with complex communication, behaviour, and sensory processing needs. The role focuses on Verbal Behaviour methodologies in a supportive learning environment and requires a passion for helping children thrive.

Successful applicants will contribute to a committed Verbal Behaviour team and participate in CPD to deepen understanding of the approach, with safeguarding and DBS checks in place.

Qualificações

• Previous experience of SEND is essential.
• Applicants with a keen interest in developing skills in Verbal Behaviour.
• Teaching assistants experienced in positively managing behaviour.
• Experience or knowledge of autism and/or severe learning difficulties is an advantage.

We are seeking to appoint a Verbal Behaviour Tutor to join our school, where we strive to ensure all children are happy, safe, and educated in a tailored environment, enabling them to reach their full potential.

What is Verbal Behaviour?

Verbal Behaviour is an approach that applies behavioural principles to language development

Teaching methodologies used are evidence based and developed from an initial text written by Skinner.

Verbal Behaviour focusses on the reasons why we engage in different types of communication.

It helps us identify areas of communication that our pupils find difficult and how to teach them most effectively.

All of our teaching is delivered in the context of the Multi-Agency Support the individual receives.
