A local council organization in Morecambe seeks a Venue Technician to support various events, including live music and conferences. The role involves maintaining sound and lighting equipment and ensuring technical aspects run smoothly. The Role
As a Venue Technician, you’ll be an essential part of the Platform team, supporting a variety of events, including live music, conferences, and community activities at our venues. This exciting position is contracted to 18 hours per week, with the opportunity for overtime subject to business needs at both The Platform and our portfolio of other venues and event spaces.
Your role will involve setting up, operating, and maintaining sound, lighting, and AV equipment, ensuring all technical aspects run smoothly and safely.
You’ll work closely with visiting companies and performers to meet their specific requirements, assist with stage management and equipment logistics, and help maintain the venue’s high standards.

This is a permanent role working 18 hours per week over two days, including bank holidays evenings and weekends. This post is based at the Platform Morecambe.
