Job summary

HSBC Global Services Limited is seeking an Investment Associate for HSBC Ventures in the United Kingdom. You will source and assess high‑potential companies, lead rigorous diligence, and support portfolio growth using AI-enabled methods to identify and manage investments.

You’ll work at the intersection of venture capital, financial services and technology, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners, while developing junior colleagues and contributing to deal execution and

Qualifications

• Strong financial analysis skills including modelling and valuation.
• Experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity or venture capital.
• Familiarity with start‑up, tech and fintech ecosystems and evaluating early‑stage opportunities.
• Experience using AI-driven research, data tools and investment reporting.
• Proven ability to build relationships with founders, investors and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Execute investments: assess companies, perform due diligence, build valuations, and prepare investment papers.
• Coordinate transactions: support legal reviews and manage advisers and stakeholders.
• Source new opportunities using AI-enabled research, sector analysis and networks.
• Monitor portfolio: track valuations, support follow-on investments and assist exit analysis.
• Develop junior colleagues by mentoring analysts and coordinating multiple workstreams.
