Job description
Overview

Vending Support Operative / Field Maintenance Assistant / Driver
Location: St Helens (office-based with regular travel). Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 + overtime + benefits

If you like being hands-on, fixing things, and seeing the impact of your work every day, this is a great opportunity to work for our client. You'll be out on the road installing, maintaining and refilling smart vending machines across the North West and beyond, helping to keep one of the region's fastest-growing tech-led businesses running smoothly. We're looking for someone practical, reliable and ready to join a company that's really going places.

What’s in it for you?
  • Competitive salary between £26,000 and £32,000
  • Plenty of overtime available, with time off in lieu where needed
  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension scheme and Employee Assistance Programme
  • Bright Exchange employee benefits platform
  • Genuine progression opportunities as the company expands
  • Great team culture built on trust, flexibility and growth

You'll receive full training to confidently operate and maintain our equipment.

More about the role

You'll be part of a small, growing team responsible for keeping a network of vending machines operating at their best. That means:

  • Installing, maintaining and restocking vending units across multiple sites
  • Using power tools and basic electrical know-how to keep machines running
  • Troubleshooting and resolving minor issues in the field
  • Recording inventory and usage data using mobile reporting tools
  • Travelling to sites around the UK, occasionally staying overnight when needed

You'll start and finish most days at the St Helens depot, so your own transport is essential due to the rural location. (As the office isn't accessible by public transport, you'll need your own vehicle to commute to and from work)

Who are we looking for?
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Experience in maintenance, installation, or field service
  • Confident with tools and basic electrics
  • Organised, proactive, and comfortable working independently
  • Friendly, professional and able to represent the company well
  • Open to travel and occasional overnight stays
