Job summary

Avery Dennison Pontefract is seeking an experienced vehicle wrapper to join the installation team. You'll work on full and partial wraps, fleet graphics and a mix of commercial projects.

You’ll learn how the business operates, the standards it expects and the clients it serves, while bringing your own experience and ideas into the team.

The longer-term aim is to progress into Installation Manager, working closely with the owner and helping the business grow.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on experience in vehicle wrapping and graphics installation.
• Experience with commercial vehicles and fleets.
• Familiar with cast films, laminates and specialist materials.
• Knowledge of 3M, Arlon and Avery Dennison products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan jobs, quality control, and developing other installers.
• Deal with clients and take greater ownership of the installation function.
• Progress to Installation Manager in the longer term, working closely with the owner.

From day one, you'll be part of the installation team, working on full and partial wraps, fleet graphics and a mix of interesting commercial projects.

You’ll be getting to know how the business operates, the standards they expect and the clients they work with, while also bringing your own experience and ideas into the team.

As you settle in, the role will naturally start to grow.

You’ll become more involved in planning jobs, quality control, helping develop other installers, dealing with clients and taking greater ownership of the installation function.

The longer-term aim is for this person to progress into Installation Manager, working closely with the owner and becoming a key part of the business as it continues to grow.

About the business

This is an established graphics business based in a modern, purpose-built facility in Pontefract.

They work across vehicle branding, fleet roll-outs, signage, architectural graphics and some genuinely unusual specialist projects.

The business is growing, the workload is there, and this is a new role rather than a replacement.

They want to bring somebody in now who can become a bigger part of the operation over time, rather than waiting until they desperately need a manager and hiring one from outside.

You’ll be working with good materials, good equipment and a team that cares about doing things properly.

You’ll be an experienced vehicle wrapper who takes real pride in the work you put out.

You know your materials, you understand the importance of preparation, and you're comfortable working across everything from full wraps and fleet graphics through to more specialist installs.

You don't need to be managing a team already, but you'll probably be someone who naturally takes ownership and helps raise the standard around you.

This isn’t for someone who just wants to keep their head down and wrap vehicles forever. The business wants somebody who can come in, get stuck into the day-to-day work, and over time take more responsibility for the installation side of the business.

Your experience

You’ll need solid hands-on experience within vehicle wrapping and graphics installation, ideally across commercial vehicles, fleets and a good mix of different projects.

You’ll be comfortable working with quality cast films, laminates and specialist materials, and you’ll understand which products and processes suit different jobs rather than simply following a brief.

Experience with the likes of 3M, Arlon and Avery Dennison would be ideal, and you’ll need a full UK driving licence as there will be some on-site work when required.

If you're an experienced wrapper who feels ready for a bit more responsibility, but still wants to stay close to the work, this is definitely worth a chat.
