Job summary

Accident Exchange in the United Kingdom is seeking a Valeter to ensure our fleet is roadworthy, immaculate, and ready for customers on time.

You'll work in a dedicated preparation team, cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining vehicles, logging records and reporting issues to your line manager. We offer a competitive salary and benefits including private healthcare and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Experience in valeting or vehicle preparation roles.
• Comfort driving a variety of vehicles, including prestige models.
• Understanding of different makes, models and controls.
• Basic knowledge of car maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and neat vehicle presentation.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Ability to maintain records and complete paperwork.
• Basic IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare vehicles to high-quality standards using approved products.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections using standard checklists.
• Check for damage and ensure mileage matches service requirements.
• Perform basic maintenance checks (oil, windscreen, tyre tread and pressure).
• Report any vehicle condition concerns to Line Manager promptly.
• Log and hand in any lost property found in vehicles.

About the role

As a Valeter, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our vehicles are roadworthy, immaculately presented, and ready for our customers on time. Your attention to detail and commitment to high standards will help us deliver an exceptional experience every time.

What you'll be doing

As part of our dedicated vehicle preparation team, your responsibilities will include:

• using a range of products to clean and prepare vehicles to our high-quality standards
• carrying out thorough vehicle inspections using our standard checklists
• check for damage and ensure mileage aligns with manufacture service requirements
• basic maintenance checks, including oil, windscreen condition, tyre tread depth, and pressure
• reporting any vehicle condition concerns to your Line Manager promptly
• ensuring any lost property found in vehicles is logged and handed in.

What you'll bring

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and has a keen eye for detail. Ideally with:

• previous experience in a valeting or similar preparation role
• confidence driving a variety of vehicles, including prestige marques
• a good understanding of different vehicle makes, models, and controls
• basic car maintenance knowledge
• a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to keeping vehicles in pristine condition
• a valid UK driving licence
• the ability to maintain accurate records and complete necessary paperwork
• basic IT literacy.
