Are you an experienced Electric Vehicle Technician - whether from cars, vans, HGVs or buses - looking to step away from the tools?
Do you want a Monday-Friday role where your expertise is valued, you're developing the next generation of engineers, and you're fully supported to gain recognised teaching and assessing qualifications?
On offer is a rare opportunity to join an industry-leading automotive training academy as an Automotive EV Trainer. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with electrical or electronic vehicle expertise who enjoys helping others, wants a stable work-life balance, and is ready for a long-term career move into education.
This organisation genuinely stands out as one of the best environments for technicians transitioning off the tools. They invest heavily in staff development, providing full teacher training, recognised qualifications, structured CPD and ongoing mentoring from day one.
Trainers are given time, resources and autonomy to deliver high-quality sessions without pressure. The culture is friendly, supportive and built on helping people grow. Staff stay long-term because progression is real - with clear routes into senior training, curriculum design, quality or leadership roles as you continue to develop.
In this role, you'll deliver practical and classroom-based training in Electric Vehicle Systems, covering diagnostics, servicing, safety procedures, high-voltage awareness and repair techniques. You'll support learners in developing confidence, competence and technical understanding across both light and heavy EV platforms.
This role would suit an experienced EV Technician or an automotive technician with strong electrical/electronics experience who enjoys supporting others, wants to step away from the tools, and is looking for a stable, rewarding career with long-term development into teaching, curriculum or leadership.
