Job summary

Steven Eagell Group in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join our service centre. You will service, maintain and repair vehicles to Toyota GB standards, diagnose faults and report defects in line with MOT and VSR requirements.

You will work efficiently within allocated times, communicate clearly with customers, and support apprentices while attending ongoing training to keep up with tech advances. A competitive package and employee benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified as a Level 2 Vehicle Technician or Diagnostic Technician.
• MOT Tester qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years in the automotive industry, preferably Toyota/Lexus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to Toyota GB standards.
• Inspect vehicles, diagnose faults including non-routine issues.
• Identify and report defects per MOT and VSR requirements.
• Complete work within allocated time with strong productivity.
• Maintain tools and workshop equipment with daily care.
• Follow Toyota Centre processes and work safely.
• Communicate with customers clearly about work needed or completed.
• Support and coach apprentice technicians.
• Attend specialist training to maintain technical expertise.
• Collaborate with Centre team to deliver outstanding service.
