Charles Hurst Portadown is recruiting a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our workshop. You will perform health checks, services and repairs to high standards using the latest technology.

Training opportunities include manufacturer-accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training to advance your career. Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have motor industry experience, and a full driving licence.

Qualificações

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Experience in motor industry preferred, brand or non-brand.
• Full and valid driving licence required.

Responsabilidades

• Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology.
• Carry out vehicle servicing in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and customer requests.
• Perform additional repairs with customer authorisation.
• Carry out warranty repairs as per guidelines and complete relevant write up.
• Take customer vehicles for road tests to ensure faults are rectified.
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard.

Vehicle Technician – Charles Hurst Portadown, Vauxhall & Changan

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:15-5pm, Friday 8:30-4pm, Saturday 9-1pm on a rota basis (1 in 4)
Salary: OTE up to £42,600 (including £34,000 basic + £6,600 bonus potential)

Charles Hurst are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our fantastic workshop in Portadown. While working alongside other experienced technicians, you will play a vital role in carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting services, and completing repairs to the highest standards.

This is an exciting time to join us as we also welcome Changan – an innovative new brand to the UK market, with a strong focus on electric and hybrid technology. This role offers an incredible opportunity for someone already working as, or aspiring to become, an EV Specialist to level up their career and future-proof their skills.

You will report to the accomplished Aftersales Manager, who will provide ongoing support to ensure you have the tools needed to succeed. We also offer excellent training and career progression opportunities, including manufacturer-accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training to accelerate your career further.

• Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
• Conducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests
• Carrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customer
• Warranty repairs as per the manufacturer’s guidelines and relevant write up is complete
• Taking the customers vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard

The ideal candidate will have the following to be considered for this role: NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, motor industry experience (brand or non-brand), and a full and valid driving licence. You’ll be self-motivated whilst being able to support your team, ambitious and eager to learn, and are able to work to and maintain the highest of standards to all vehicles that take a spin through our doors.
