Perfect Placement UK Ltd is recruiting for a respected main dealership in Reading, Berkshire to hire a skilled Vehicle Technician. The role focuses on servicing, diagnostics, and high-quality warranty work in a busy workshop.

The position includes extensive manufacturer training, a modern working environment, and clear opportunities for career progression. Working hours are Monday to Friday (45 hours) with a Saturday morning rota, plus generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 qualification (IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic with warranty/servicing background.
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge of modern vehicle systems, including electric and hybrid tech (training provided).
• MOT licence advantageous but not essential; full training available.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive vehicle servicing and maintenance tasks including diagnostics and warranty work.
• Carry out routine jobs such as oil changes, cambelt replacements, and electronic health checks.
• Complete digital job cards and accurate documentation for each vehicle serviced.
• Conduct electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) adhering to manufacturer standards.
• Maintain high safety protocols and quality standards in all tasks.
• Support team members with technical and customer-focused activities.
