Job summary

HiQ Tyres & Autocare in England is hiring a Vehicle Technician to join our team. The role is full-time permanent, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm with a half-day Saturday. You will inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles to DVSA standards using diagnostic equipment.

You will discuss repairs with customers and complete all maintenance records and paperwork. We offer training opportunities, an uncapped monthly bonus and generous employee discounts on all HiQ services, plus 28 days holiday and a path

Qualifications

• Must have a Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served experience.
• Must have a full driver's licence with no more than 9 points.
• Experience delivering interim, full and major services plus relevant repair and replacement work (brakes, suspension and steering component replacement, air con service etc)

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles to ensure road worthiness and reliability to DVSA standards.
• Use dealer-level and generic diagnostic equipment to assist in time-efficient repairs.
• Perform repairs and maintenance in line with manufacturer standards and schedules.
• Discuss repairs with customer.
• Calculate the expected time and cost of vehicle work.
• Maintain health and safety standards, working within company guidelines and safe working practices.
• Complete job cards, maintenance records, and associated paperwork to a high standard.
• Undertake any additional duties for the efficient running of the Store.
• Carry out administration duties as required within the store.
• Assist in carrying out regular stock checks in accordance with Company Policy.
