Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician for a reputable main dealership in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. The role offers an engaging work environment with ongoing development and a focus on quality customer service.

Typical duties include routine maintenance, diagnostics, and complex repairs, with a 42.5-hour week schedule, Monday–Friday and alternating Saturday mornings. Competitve salary and benefits are provided, plus opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a reputable automotive dealership or workshop.
• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification.
• MOT qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tyre rotations and fluid checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out complex repairs including engine overhauls, transmission repairs and brake system replacements.
• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and advise on repairs.
• Complete accurate service and repair documentation.
• Adhere to safety procedures in a busy workshop.
• Keep up-to-date with automotive technology and participate in training.
• Deliver professional customer service by explaining repair needs clearly.
