Job summary

Hawk Hiring LTD in Swanley, Kent, is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to diagnose faults and repair a range of high-performance and prestige vehicles in a modern workshop.

You will work on advanced diagnostic tasks, using OEM equipment, and contribute to quality workmanship with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience as Vehicle Technician/Diagnostic Technician/Automotive Technician/Vehicle Mechanic.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults accurately and carry out repairs to a high standard.
• Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault finding.
• Utilise OEM and specialist diagnostic equipment for complex issues.
• Conduct road tests and ensure final quality checks.

Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician with strong diagnostic skills who enjoys solving complex faults and working on specialist vehicles?

We're looking for a skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join an established independent specialist workshop in Swanley, Kent.

You'll work on a varied range of sports, performance, prestige and enthusiast vehicles, using modern OEM and specialist diagnostic equipment in a clean, well-equipped workshop.

The role

You'll be responsible for diagnosing faults accurately and carrying out repairs to a high standard across a varied range of vehicles.

Your duties will include:

• Advanced vehicle diagnostics and complex fault finding
• Electrical, electronic and mechanical fault diagnosis
• Investigating difficult faults and identifying root causes
• Servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Component replacement and manufacturer-standard repairs
• Vehicle health checks and inspections
• Using OEM and specialist diagnostic equipment
• Road testing and final quality checks
• Completing accurate job cards and repair records

You'll work alongside an experienced team in a professional environment where technical ability, attention to detail and quality workmanship matter.

What we're looking for

You'll be a methodical, hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting and takes pride in producing reliable, high-quality work.

Ideally, you'll have:

• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Diagnostic Technician, Automotive Technician or Vehicle Mechanic
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• A good understanding of vehicle electrics and electronics
• Experience using modern vehicle diagnostic systems
• A logical approach to fault finding and problem-solving
• Good attention to detail and a professional attitude
• A full UK driving licence

Experience with performance or prestige vehicles is an advantage, not a requirement. If you're an experienced technician with strong diagnostic skills, we'd like to hear from you.
