Hawk Hiring is seeking a skilled automotive technician for a full-time, permanent role in Borough Green. You will perform servicing, diagnostics, and repairs across a multi-brand workshop, with up-to-date equipment and secure on-site parking.

The position offers a guaranteed salary between £35,000 and £45,000 plus performance bonuses and optional overtime, Monday to Friday with Saturdays available if you choose. Training for Class 4 MOT and High-Voltage EV/Hybrid certs is funded.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Repair (or time-served equivalent).
• Experience in independent garage, dealership, or fast-fit center.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, scheduled maintenance, and multi-point vehicle health checks.
• Use multi-brand diagnostic platforms to identify faults.
• Carry out mechanical overhauls including timing belts/chains, clutch, brakes, suspension, and steering.
• Manage MOT preparation and Class 4 testing where licensed.
• Service air conditioning, adjust wheel alignment, and install components.
• Maintain bay standards and accurate work orders.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Executing routine servicing, scheduled maintenance, and multi-point vehicle health checks across a diverse mix of daily drivers and prestige models.
• Utilizing modern multi-brand diagnostic platforms to isolate complex electrical, mechanical, and engine management faults.
• Carrying out core mechanical overhauls including timing belts/chains, clutches, brakes, suspension setups, and steering systems.
• Managing MOT failure repairs, preparations, and Class 4 testing (if licensed).
• Handling air conditioning servicing, wheel alignment adjustments, and modern component installations.
• Maintaining immaculate bay standards and logging accurate technical work orders.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Light Vehicle Repair (or time-served equivalent).
• Experience: Proven track record working inside an independent garage, dealership, or fast-fit center.
• Mindset: Quality-focused technician who takes genuine pride in clean, accurate workmanship.
• Licence: Full UK Driving Licence.
