A reputable main dealership in Worthing is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester. Qualifications

  • Valid MOT Tester Licence preferred but not essential if willing to train.
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a main dealer or independent garage.
  • Confident in diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues.
  • Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair work efficiently.
  • Perform MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
  • Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Complete vehicle health checks and document findings.
  • Maintain accurate service records and follow safety procedures.
  • Liaise with service advisors for effective workflow.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain workshop standards.

About the Role
We're currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester to join a reputable main dealership workshop based in the Worthing area.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to work within a modern, well-equipped service centre offering stability, manufacturer training, and genuine career progression.
You will be responsible for carrying out a full range of workshop duties — from routine servicing and repairs to MOT testing and diagnostics — ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair work efficiently and accurately
  • Perform MOT tests in line with DVSA standards (if qualified)
  • Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment and software
  • Complete vehicle health checks and document findings
  • Maintain accurate service records and adhere to all safety and compliance procedures
  • Liaise with service advisors and workshop controllers to ensure effective workflow
  • Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high workshop standards
About You
  • NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance
  • Valid MOT Tester Licence is preferred but not essential if willing to train
  • Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician or similar role in a main dealer or independent garage
  • Confident in diagnosing and repairing issues
  • Full UK Driving Licence
