Overview

Vehicle Technician

Location: Cardiff
Salary: £28,000 to £36,000 basic depending on qualifications and experience, £40,000 OTE (uncapped).
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm, 1 in 3 Saturdays on rota 8am - 12pm.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our client’s workshop in Cardiff. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles in a main dealership environment. A strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems are required. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cars and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. There are fantastic quarterly and yearly bonuses on offer.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques
Requirements
  • Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance preferred
  • Level 2 qualified applicants will be considered with at least five years of experience
  • Applicants must have a full UK driving license
