Job summary

e-ppl Ltd in Telford is seeking a Vehicle Technician to join a critical fleet maintenance project. You will perform diagnostic inspections, servicing, repairs, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across fleet platforms.

This six-month contract requires BPSS clearance sponsorship, with weekly pay at £22 per hour (base £17 + £5 allowance). Enjoy an early finish every Friday and on-site tooling provision, with a welcoming environment for ex-forces applicants.

Qualifications

• Level 3 IMI, NVQ, City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Proven track record as a Vehicle Technician (military, commercial, or fleet background strongly preferred).
• Strong diagnostic capabilities and familiarity with fleet asset tracking.

Responsibilities

• Inspection & Servicing: Execute diagnostic inspections, routine servicing, and repairs across designated fleet platforms.
• Rectification & Prep: Complete follow-on maintenance to ensure full safety and compliance ahead of Mandatory Equipment Inspections.
• Fleet Upgrades & Reworks: Upgrade vehicles to operational standards and resolve defects identified during quality examinations.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to site Health & Safety policies at all times.

E-ppl Ltd is hiring dedicated Vehicle Technicians to deliver a critical fleet maintenance project at our Telford site. Working within a skilled, supportive team, you will ensure the operational readiness, safety, and regulatory compliance of Stored and Sustainment Fleet platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Location & Commute

Based in Donnington, Telford (TF2 8JT), with excellent transport links via the A442 and M54. Easily commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Cannock, and the wider Shropshire/West Midlands area.

• Skills: Strong diagnostic capabilities and familiarity with fleet asset tracking.
• Security Clearance: Eligible for BPSS clearance (sponsored and managed entirely by E-ppl).
• Equipment: Standard coveralls and safety footwear (all mechanical tools provided).
