Perfect Placement UK Ltd on behalf of a well-established, family-run garage in St Albans is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician. You will service and repair a wide range of makes and models, with opportunities for technical development and career progression in a supportive, local workshop.

The role requires at least 5 years in vehicle maintenance, MOT testing eligibility, a full set of tools, and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• MOT qualification; at least 3 years' testing experience or the ability to qualify.
• Demonstrable technical skills with a proactive approach.
• Full set of automotive tools.
• Experience working in a busy garage environment, ideally meeting main dealer standards.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine vehicle servicing and repairs to industry standards.
• Diagnose faults through electronic diagnostics and carry out relevant repairs.
• Perform clutch replacements and engine work as required.
• Undertake MOT testing once qualified.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Maintain high levels of customer service, providing clear communication and technical advice.
• Collaborate with team members to meet workshop targets and business goals.
