Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join their team in Sittingbourne. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification and proven mechanical knowledge, along with the ability to conduct inspections and perform repairs on vehicles. Hours

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults or issues.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine diagnostics, brake replacements, tyre fitting, and electrical system repairs.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out various repair procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
  • Test vehicles post-repair to ensure all issues have been resolved and the vehicle is operating safely.
  • Assist with ordering parts and managing workshop stock levels as required.
Requirements
  • Level 3 in City & Guilds or IMI.
  • Proven mechanical knowledge with a strong understanding of vehicle systems.
  • Experience in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
  • Ability to diagnose faults accurately and efficiently.
  • Valid full UK driving licence.
  • Own tools.
  • The right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
