Job summary

GBR Recruitment Ltd are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician to work on cars and vans in a well established dealer. The role is workshop based within a small team and requires NVQ Level 3 and a current MOT license, plus being a qualified MOT tester.

You will perform servicing, MOTs, diagnostics and repairs across makes/models, with cambelt/clutch/engine work, brakes, air conditioning, and tyre fitting. The position is commutable from Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ in vehicle maintenance and repairs or equivalent.
• Current MOT license and full MOT tester training.
• Diagnostic knowledge is advantageous.
• Able to supply own tools.

Responsibilities

• All aspects of vehicle servicing work.
• MOT work including MOT repairs.
• Diagnostics and fault rectification.
• Vehicle maintenance including cambelt and clutch.
• Engine work, brakes, steering, suspension, and tyres.
• Air conditioning re-gas and repairs.
• Work closely with the team and assist the General Manager.

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a well established quality focused car & van dealership, recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to work on both cars & vans.

You will be a Vehicle Technician that ideally has an NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent in vehicle maintenance & repairs, plus a current MOT license, as well as being a qualified MOT tester, with widespread experience of working on varying different makes & models of cars & vans.

As a Vehicle Technician you will carry out all aspects of car servicing, MOT, carrying out diagnostics, plus general car repairs & maintenance works.

This Vehicle Technician role is purely workshop based working within a team of 3 Vehicle Technicians & within a garage team of 8.

Key Vehicle Technician tasks include:

• Working closely with the team and completing tasks as delegated by the General Manager
• All aspects of vehicle servicing work
• MOT work including MOT repairs
• Vehicle maintenance including but not limited to:
• Cambelt replacement
• Clutch replacement
• Engine work
• Diagnostic work and fault rectifying
• Interior work
• Brakes, steering, suspension etc.
• Tyre fitting including tracking
• Air conditioning re-gas and repairs

Requirements for the Vehicle Technician role include:

• Level 3 NVQ in maintenance and repair or equivalent
• Current MOT license and fully trained in motor vehicle technology
• Qualified MOT Tester with up-to-date training
• Diagnostic knowledge advantageous
• Able to supply own tools
