Qualifications

Job description

Jaguar Land Rover Newport, part of the Sinclair Group, has an opportunity for a Vehicle Technician. Whether you are experienced, highly skilled Level 3 Service & MOT Technician looking or just starting out in your career, we want to hear from you. As a qualified Vehicle Technician you will be at the very heart of our customer experience, keeping them on the road so they can get safely from A to B and taking great pride in a job well done. Working with a talented team and some of the best equipment in the business, you'll repair, service and care for all kinds of vehicles – identifying faults, making improvements, keeping accurate records and meeting demanding quality and safety standards. Working to MOT and manufacturer standards, you'll focus on delivering customer satisfaction and public safety as you minimise costs for the customer.

Qualifications
  • Have completed an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Repair or equivalent NVQ, BTEC or City & Guilds qualifications.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues within the Retailer and customers to explain complex repairs.
  • Your dedication to maintaining your product knowledge, brand and industry knowledge by accepting mentoring and development opportunities.
  • Checking level and quality of work through use of diagnostic equipment, self‑quality checking and road testing of vehicles after the work has been carried out.

The ideal applicant will have some previous history of working in a retailer environment and experienced coaching and mentoring junior or less experienced team members. Practical knowledge of working on electric vehicles is desirable.
