Vehicle Technician (Royal Mail)

Overview

We are looking for professional vehicle technicians to perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment operated by the Royal Mail Group.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
  • Use personal toolkit and specialist equipment provided to carry out routine maintenance and repair of light and heavy vehicles.
  • Work as a team player and take pride in delivering high quality work.
Qualifications
  • Advanced level qualification (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working on a wide variety of LCV/LGV vehicles.
  • Full manual driving licence (LGV preferred with trailer experience).
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £44,345 per annum (or £13.71 per hour for 21+; £11.50 per hour for under 21).
  • Weekend supplement: £52.10 per Saturday attendance.
  • Full‑time: 39.5 hours per week (rotating shift pattern).
  • Holiday: 22.5 days annual plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase more.
  • Competitive pension scheme.
  • PPE and image clothing provided.
