A leading automotive dealer group seeks a Vehicle Technician in Abingdon. Vehicle Technician required in Abingdon. Up to £39,296 per annum pending experience plus uncapped bonus scheme (around £45,000+ uncapped on-target annual earnings). Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:00am-1:00pm. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, pension scheme, and brand training, amongst others.
Our client, one of the UK's largest automotive dealer groups, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician for their premium franchise-approved car dealership located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
Reporting to the Service Manager, your main duties will include carrying out service, maintenance and repair work on our client's vehicles as instructed to the standards laid down by the manufacturer. You need to ensure faults are accurately diagnosed and report to the Service Manager as required on vehicle condition, safety, reliability and performance. You will also need to ensure that quality workmanship and Health & Safety (HSE) procedures relating to the task at hand are adhered to at all times.
To be eligible, you will need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as a minimum and have at least several years of practical experience post qualification within a workshop environment as a Vehicle Technician. For this role, it is also desirable that you have an active MOT License in Class 4/7 vehicles, but this is non-essential. You will need to hold a UK driving license with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy franchise-approved dealership environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team.
