Job summary

BPA in Daventry is expanding its dedicated vehicle simulator facility. The role blends simulator operation, software development, data analysis and customer interaction to advance driver training, vehicle development and commercial projects.

You will work with Engineering and Business Development to enhance capabilities and drive variations in simulator programs, contributing to future mobility work within a high-performance engineering setting.

Qualifications

• As a degree-qualified engineer, you will bring experience with driving/vehicle simulators and systems integration.
• Knowledge of vehicle dynamics, performance, and physics within automotive or motorsport contexts.
• Experience with software development, including Windows-based scripts, plugins or applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret engineering data.
• Comfortable owning technical projects in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Customer-facing engineering or technical consultancy experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation of the vehicle simulator facility for internal and external programs.
• Support commissioning, development, and optimisation of the simulator, including software and data functionality.
• Develop and maintain software tools, scripts, plugins and applications as needed.
• Analyse simulator and vehicle data to support development and testing activities.
• Support customers and engineering partners, ensuring a high-quality experience.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Business Development on new enquiries and programs.
• Integrate simulator activity with physical vehicle testing and broader projects.
• Maintain equipment and systems to a high technical standard.
