Qualifications

• Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) is required.
• Active use of diagnostic equipment to identify faults and test parts is expected.
• Full training delivered during the apprenticeship combines virtual learning with hands-on weeks.

Responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults and test parts.
• Follow checklists to ensure all critical components are examined.
• Carry out bumper-to-bumper service, inspection, and maintenance.
• Maintain electronic systems, including on-board entertainment systems.
• Repair and service vehicle parts such as clutches, gearboxes, tyres, brakes and suspension.
• Complete legible paperwork for customers and company records.
• Keep a clean and safe work environment.
