Job description

We are a well‑established local business providing a wide range of vehicle services. We pride ourselves on an excellent reputation and top customer service experience and are looking for someone to join our small friendly team.

Pay: TBC depending on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (no weekend work)

Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent

Expected Hours: 40 per week

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • MOT testing (if applicable)
  • Regular vehicle servicing with preventative maintenance
  • Diagnostics
  • General repair work on both old and new vehicles
  • Following proper safety protocols and maintaining an organized, clean work area
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Effective problem‑solving abilities with good diagnosing capabilities
  • Fitness and physical stamina to stand all day, lift heavy parts, and position the body correctly while working
  • Good communication skills to explain repairs to customers and others in the repair team
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics
  • Understanding of the safety procedures required in automotive repairs
  • Knowledge of the various hand and power instruments, including air tools, jacks, and welding equipment
  • Customer service skills to connect and build rapport with clients and establish trust
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and how to troubleshoot them
  • Excellent time‑management skills to finish jobs on time
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in making repairs
  • Ability to work in a self‑managed environment and as part of a team
