Job summary

Apex Resource Management Ltd is hiring a Vehicle Quality Auditor in Woking. The role is a 6 month contract, inside IR35, and the salary will be discussed on application.

You will audit vehicles and bespoke components from build to sign-off, working across Production, Logistics, and Workshop teams to ensure customer specifications are met. Ideal candidates have automotive or manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with SAP or MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or production environments, preferably automotive.
• Experience identifying, investigating and resolving quality or production issues.
• Strong attention to detail with good numerical, organisational and time-management skills.
• Confident written and verbal communication across multiple departments.
• Experience with systems such as SAP or MRP is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle and production audits against customer orders, part specs, CAD docs and quality standards.
• Manage bespoke part and production station sign-offs, escalating issues before progression.
• Coordinate with Logistics and Production to ensure correct parts and kits are available at the right build stage.
• Identify, record and communicate defects or non-conformities, and help develop practical solutions.
• Coordinate rework and post-fitment activities with production operatives and workshop technicians.
• Maintain trackers and provide daily updates to stakeholders on quality metrics.
• Support continuous improvement to raise accuracy, efficiency and quality while upholding health and safety standards.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Vehicle Quality Auditor to join a specialist automotive manufacturing environment in Woking, supporting the delivery of bespoke vehicle content from initial build through to final sign-off.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you’ll work closely with Production, Logistics, Material Control, Stores and Workshop teams to make sure every vehicle and bespoke component meets the required customer specification and quality standards.

If you have a good eye for detail, enjoy solving problems and have experience within automotive or manufacturing, the Vehicle Quality Auditor role is a great opportunity to play an important part in ensuring high-quality vehicles leave the production line right first time.

What You'll Be Doing

As Vehicle Quality Auditor, you’ll be responsible for:

• Carrying out daily vehicle and production audits, checking builds against customer orders, part specifications, CAD documentation and quality standards.
• Managing bespoke part and production station sign-off, ensuring any build or quality issues are identified and resolved before vehicles progress.
• Working closely with Logistics and Production teams to ensure the correct parts and kits are available at the right point in the build process.
• Identifying, recording and communicating defects or non-conformities, escalating issues where required and helping develop practical solutions.
• Coordinating rework and post-fitment activities with production operatives and workshop technicians.
• Monitoring key production and quality information, maintaining relevant trackers and providing clear daily updates to stakeholders.
• Supporting continuous improvement across the production process, helping improve accuracy, efficiency and quality while maintaining excellent health, safety and housekeeping standards.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within automotive.
• Experience identifying, investigating and resolving quality or production issues.
• Strong attention to detail with good numerical, organisational and time-management skills.
• Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
• Good IT skills, with experience of systems such as SAP, MRP or warehouse management systems beneficial.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• The resilience and flexibility to work under pressure, meet deadlines and maintain consistently high standards.

This is an excellent product auditor opportunity to work within a specialist automotive production environment, where quality, craftsmanship and attention to detail are central to the finished product.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple areas of the manufacturing operation, develop strong product knowledge and directly influence the quality of vehicles moving through production.

Please note, this role is deemed inside of IR35. The Umbrella Pay Rate offered is inclusive of the Assignment pay rate, holiday pay and Apex Recruitments contribution towards Employer Costs.
