Job summary

As a Vehicle Prepper you will fully prepare vehicles prior to painting, perform filler work, sand panels, mask areas, and prime panels, including parts like bumpers and bonnets, to ensure smooth paint application.

Experience in a fast-paced workshop, good attention to detail, and a clean, safe work approach are essential. A valid UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Prepper within an automotive bodyshop is essential.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience of vehicle preparation techniques.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced workshop environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences.

Responsibilities

Are you a skilled Vehicle Prepper with experience in an automotive bodyshop setting? If so, we have an excellent opportunity for you!

Working on behalf of one of the leading automotive companies in the UK, successful candidates will be preparing a range of vehicles in a busy and fast-paced bodyshop environment.

The Role:

Within the Vehicle Prepper role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Full preparation of vehicles prior to painting.
• Carrying out small to medium filler work to repair body panels.
• Sanding panels down.
• Bagging and masking vehicles to ensure only the areas requiring paint are exposed.
• Priming panels ready for paint.
• Preparing individual parts and panels, such as bumpers and bonnets, including:
  • Sanding down.
  • Priming.
  • Placing on racking ready for the paint sprayers.
• Working on a range of vehicles, from small family cars through to light commercial vehicles.

The Person:
