Overview

Our prestigious client is Europe’s largest vehicle remarketing company, the backbone of the UK automotive supply chain, a great place to build the career you want. They are looking for a Vehicle Prepper to join their Bedford site.

Main Purpose of the Role

Within this role, you will be part of an experienced bodyshop team, ensuring our vehicles are finished to the highest standard for our customers, under the support and guidance of the supervisor and Bodyshop Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing vehicles for paint – masking, priming, sanding, and cleaning panels.
• Ensuring that there are no defects on the prepared panels.
• Supporting other areas of the workshop where needed.
• Assisting with the training of junior members of the team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role in a Bodyshop. Minimum 1 year.
• Full UK Driving Licence held for a minimum of 2 years.
• Willing to support junior cosmetic technicians and offer support/expertise when needed.
• Passion to work within the motor industry and take pride in your work, to the highest standards set by customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on vehicles and make your own decisions when required.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Salary and Benefits

• £17.28 per hour (£42,500 per annum)
• 06:00-16:00 Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday
