Volkswagen Group invites enthusiastic individuals to join its three‑year MET Level 2 Framework apprenticeship as a Vehicle Damage Paint Technician. The role focuses on preparing vehicles for painting after damage, including stripping, sanding, masking and priming to ensure a factory standard finish.

Training is provided through a mix of virtual sessions and face‑to‑face weeks at a dedicated centre. Successful applicants will travel to the Inspiro Learning Centre in Doncaster for apprenticeship

Qualifications

• No formal prerequisites stated beyond being prepared to undertake the apprenticeship.
• Travel to Inspiro Learning Centre, Doncaster, to complete training will be provided and costs covered.

Responsibilities

• Strip parts from vehicles to prepare for painting.
• Sand areas and adjoining surfaces for blending.
• Mask areas to be treated.
• Etch and prime areas to be treated.
• Match and mix colours using VW colour palette.
• Spray paint panels/parts to a factory standard finish.
