Job summary

BCA is seeking a Site Operations Mechanical Technician to assess, diagnose and complete mechanical repairs on wholesale remarketing vehicles across our UK sites. You will work to approved methods, prioritise tasks for maximum efficiency and maintain high standards of housekeeping and documentation.

The role requires a Level 3 Mechanical Technician, broad car/LCV knowledge, the ability to observe and repair faults, and a full UK driving licence (2+ years).

Qualifications

• Level 3 Mechanical Technician with broad understanding of cars and LCVs.
• Ability to observe, diagnose and repair mechanical faults and servicing.
• Full UK Driving Licence held for minimum 2 years.

Responsibilities

• To complete mechanical repairs in line with approved methods.
• To work productively ensuring repairs are completed within the deadline and work prioritised to achieve maximum efficiency.
• To highlight when repairs are not possible, or an alternative solution is required.
• To have a high attention to detail and to escape where repairs could be completed more cost effectively.
• To maintain a high level of housekeeping and cleanliness within workspaces.
• To ensure standard operating procedures are rigorously followed and documentation completed accurately.
• To undertake other duties as requested by your manager.

Main purpose of the role

To assess, recommend and complete mechanical repairs to enhance the value of wholesale remarketing vehicles.

To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:

• Experienced Level 3 Mechanical Technician.
• A broad understanding of cars and LCVs, the ability to observe, diagnose and repair mechanical faults and vehicle servicing.
• A clear team ethic being able to focus on immediate technical tasks as well as understanding work in all departments must been balanced to achieve the business’ overall goals.

Full UK Driving Licence held for minimum 2 years

Up to £60k per annum to start, after 6 months and delivery on set objectives up to £65k

Starting on £40k, up to £45k per annum after 6 months
