A local government authority is seeking a Skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join their Vehicle and Plant Maintenance Unit in the UK. About the Role
East Lothian Council’s Vehicle and Plant Maintenance Unit is seeking a Skilled Vehicle Mechanic to join our dedicated team. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a diverse fleet, including LGV, PSV, specialist vehicles, and cars, ensuring high standards of safety and reliability.

To repair and maintain all vehicles in the Council Fleet including LGV, PSV, Specialist
equipment, Light Goods and Cars. Work to be undertaken primarily in a purpose built
workshop at Macmerry Industrial Estate or elsewhere as required. To assist with items of plant when required.

Relevant Qualifications
Any of the following or equivalent:
Time served Craft Operative in appropriate trade.
Time served modern apprenticeship.
Relevant City and Guilds Certificate.
SVQ level 3 and passed skills test.
Driving Licence
A full current driving licence is essential to carry out the duties of this post.
Current LGV Driving Licence (or willing to achieve within specified timescale).
