Job summary

Babcock International is hiring a Vehicle Mechanic to service and repair military and civilian vehicles at our Ashchurch site. The role emphasizes fault diagnosis, inspections, and completing certification documentation, with supportive tools provided on site.

You will work a 37-hour week onsite, with opportunities for overtime and career development within a Defence, aerospace and engineering context.

Day-to-day, you'll:

• Diagnose, service, repair and maintain military and civilian vehicles
• Conduct inspections and assess vehicle condition and performance
• Complete testing, road testing and vehicle certification documentation
• Carry out mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding activities
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to required standards

No two days are the same. You'll work on a diverse range of vehicles while developing specialist skills and gaining experience rarely found elsewhere in the automotive industry.

Experience gained within dealerships, commercial vehicle workshops, local garages, fleet maintenance environments, military vehicle maintenance or Armed Forces engineering backgrounds is highly desirable.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
