Job description
Overview

On behalf of our client, NRL Recruitment are looking for a Vehicle Mechanic for work in the Tewkesbury area.

Duration: 6 Months (05/01/2026 to 03/07/2026)

Security Clearance Level: UK - Security Check (SC) must be able to obtain (Lived/worked in UK for past 5 consecutive years)

Hours: 37 per week

Work Location: Tewkesbury, GL20 8LZ

As a Vehicle Mechanic, this is a role that’s out of the ordinary. With your skills and experience, you’ll be undertaking the servicing, repair, maintenance, overhaul, and fault diagnosis on a wide and varied range of in-service Military vehicles and equipment.

Day to day, you’ll be carrying out work to the required standard and specification as detailed in accordance with customer requirements, current regulations, local instructions, process plans and other technical publications. You’ll also ensure stores and equipment issued to job are used for their correct purpose.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, inspect, and assess vehicles and associated mechanical / electrical equipment in line with skills & competency.
  • Ensure stores and equipment issued to the job are used for their correct purpose and un-used or new faulty material is returned to the section / department Supervisor as soon as it is identified.
  • Creation of job cards and demanding material where the relevant ERP (SAP) training has been completed.
  • Completion of vehicle and equipment documentation and test certificates / reports to current standards
Essential experience
  • Previous experience within a similar role is required.
  • A flexible, pro-active team player with the ability to adapt and build good rapport.
