The role

As a Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll be part of a skilled team maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of military vehicles and electrical equipment. This is a hands-on role where your technical expertise will directly support operational readiness and national defence.

You’ll carry out diagnostics, inspections, servicing, and repairs to ensure vehicles and equipment meet the highest standards. Day-to-day you’ll be
  • Diagnosing and inspecting vehicles and mechanical or electrical equipment
  • Ensuring correct use of stores and equipment, and returning unused or faulty items
  • Creating job cards and requesting materials using ERP systems (SAP)
  • Completing documentation, test certificates, and reports to current standards
  • Working to customer specifications, regulations, and technical publications

Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.

Please note that this position involves manual work. This could include lifting, bending, using tools or standing for extended periods of time.

The role is based onsite at Sennybridge, and the set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week.
