Job summary

FedEx Milton is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to maintain our fleet to the highest standards. You will work 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 4.30pm, in our vehicle maintenance unit.

The role includes signing off service records, preparing vehicles for MOT testing and performing repairs to ensure safety and compliance. The ideal candidate brings an LGV C&E license (class one), a valid driving license, and hands-on experience with welding and basic DC electrical

Qualifications

• LGV C&E license (class one) and valid driving license are required.
• Experience with welding and basic DC electrical troubleshooting is desirable.
• Knowledge of automotive testing/troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repair of company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules to ensure vehicles and trailers are safe, legal and fit for duties.
• Complete signed service and inspection records.
• Complete defect reports and associated paperwork to comply with legal requirements.
• Prepare vehicles and trailers for annual MOT testing to ensure first time pass.
• Perform ad-hoc vehicle repairs, investigate and rectify vehicle defects.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at our vehicle maintenance unit at Milton as a Vehicle Maintenance Technician.

Working hours: 40 hours per week

Shift: Monday - Friday 8.00 am to 4.30pm

Salary: £22.35 Per Hour

What you will be doing:

• Performing service and repair of company fleet in line with planned maintenance schedules to ensure our vehicles and trailers are safe, legal and fit for duties

What do you bring with you:

• Your skill and applicable licenses our vocational training, e.g., LGV C&E license (class one)
• Knowledge of the use and operation of all automotive equipment and testing / troubleshooting equipment
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre Heavy Vehicle Components
• Experience with welding and basic D.C. electrical troubleshooting skills
• Valid driving license
