Job description

TXM Recruit has been supporting this client for several years and is now recruiting a Vehicle Installation Electrician on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing environment working on advanced vehicle electrical systems.

The Role As a Vehicle Installation Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, modification, testing, and commissioning of vehicle electrical systems, ensuring all work meets required quality, safety, and specification standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring full compliance with health and safety policies and workshop procedures
  • Installing vehicle electrical control systems in line with technical documentation and specifications
  • Installing and modifying vehicle wiring harnesses and electrical components
  • Terminating automotive and high-voltage connections up to 800V AC / DC
  • Testing and commissioning vehicle electrical systems in line with quality assurance documentation
  • Fault finding and repair using bespoke diagnostic software
  • Completing work within allocated process times
  • Supporting quality sign-off processes and documentation
  • Being flexible to work overtime when required
  • Undertaking training or retraining as necessary
About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have :

  • Time-served experience as an automotive, domestic, or industrial electrician
  • The ability to work safely on systems up to 600V AC / DC
  • Strong experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams
  • Hands‑on experience routing and connecting a variety of cable types
  • Basic electrical fault‑finding skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong awareness of general health and safety requirements
  • A willingness to undertake further training where required
