Job summary

National Vehicle Distribution is seeking a proactive Vehicle Handler based in Southampton to support the efficient movement and dispatch of vehicles. You will check arrivals, manage the flow of 60+ vehicles daily across storage and loading areas, perform vehicle-specific inspections and stock checks, and assist with general compound maintenance.

A full driving licence and the ability to work evenings/shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle handling or logistics operations.
• Ability to work evenings/shifts.
• Capable of maintaining accuracy with high-volume stock movements.

Responsibilities

• Check vehicles on arrival and during dispatch.

Role Summary

The Vehicle Handler is responsible for the efficient and accurate handling of vehicle stock. Key duties include the thorough checking and dispatch of vehicles, managing the high-volume movement of 60 or more vehicles daily across storage and loading areas, and performing detailed vehicle-specific inspections and stock checks. The role also involves contributing to the general maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle compounds.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Checking vehicles upon arrival and dispatch

• Moving 60+ vehicles per day from within / between storage compounds and loading bays

• Vehicle specific inspections

• Stock Checks

• General maintenance and upkeep of compounds

Requirements

• Available for work up to 6 days a week and have availability to work evening shifts

• Full driving license

• Positive working attitude

• Comfortable with driving cars and light commercial vehicles
