A leading defense contractor in Tewkesbury seeks a Vehicle Electrician to inspect, service, and repair military vehicles. This hands-on role requires specific trade qualifications and offers generous holidays, pension schemes, and growth opportunities. The position entails completing documentation and operating within a manual work environment.
As a Vehicle Electrician, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll carry out inspection, servicing, repair and overhaul of military vehicles and associated electrical systems. You'll also perform diagnostic and inspection duties, manufacture miscellaneous items, and complete examination tasks to meet production needs. This is a hands‑on role where your expertise will directly support the UK's defence capability.
Completed recognised Military or Civilian training in the relevant trade discipline OR an accredited Apprenticeship. Attained at least one of the following:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
Location: Ashchurch, near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire. Working times: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week. The role involves manual work including lifting, bending, using tools, and standing for extended periods.
The successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
