Job summary

Lloyd Land Rover Service Center in Houghton-le-Spring is seeking a Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to join our team. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs, and prepare vehicles for handover with detailed service reports.

We offer enhanced overtime and a variety of shifts designed to fit your schedule, plus a bonus structure including an introductory bonus up to £3,000 and uncapped bonuses based on performance.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing vehicle faults and interpreting data.
• Ability to complete detailed service reports.
• Knowledge of manufacturer procedures and repair standards.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders including repairs, parts and labour details.
• Test vehicles using measuring devices and provide diagnostic reports.
• Interpret and use technical data and manufacturer instructions.
• Conduct routine service work on workshop vehicles.
• Remove and install vehicle components per manufacturer methods.
• Carry out vehicle health checks and identify areas of concern.
• Prepare for new and Approved Used vehicles.
• Record hours worked and materials used, with clear notes.
• Ensure vehicle safety standards are met before returning to customers.
• Keep workshop clean and tidy; support handover to next shift.
