Job summary

Rocket Staffing Ltd in Thurleigh is recruiting experienced Vehicle Delivery Drivers to join a leading automotive business. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity with consistent hours and excellent overtime opportunities.

You will move and manoeuvre vehicles on site, use handheld scanners, perform basic inspections, report defects, and maintain high safety standards. A full UK driving licence, and the ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles, are required.

Job description

Vehicle Delivery Driver
Rocket Staffing is currently recruiting experienced Vehicle Delivery Drivers to join a leading automotive business based in Thurleigh. This is a fantastic opportunity for reliable, professional, and motivated individuals seeking long-term employment with consistent hours and excellent overtime opportunities.

Pay & Benefits

• Standard Rate: £14.84 per hour
• Overtime Rate: £22.26 per hour (after 40 hours worked)
• Sunday Rate: £29.68 per hour

Working Hours

• Start Time: 15:00 - 23:30
• Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities

• Safely move and manoeuvre vehicles throughout the site.
• Use handheld device (HHD) scanners to track, locate, and manage vehicle movements (full training provided).
• Carry out basic vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues to the Line Manager.
• Ensure all vehicles are parked and stored in line with customer requirements and site procedures.
• Conduct vehicle damage checks before movement and report any findings promptly.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety for yourself and colleagues.
• Drive responsibly at all times and adhere to all site speed limits and regulations.
• Support wider yard operations and undertake additional duties as required.

Candidate Requirements

• Full UK driving licence.
• Confident driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Minimum of 2 years' driving experience in a similar role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Desirable Qualifications

The following are advantageous but not essential:

• First Aid certification
• Fire Marshal certification
• Previous experience within vehicle logistics, automotive, or yard operations
