Perfect Placement UK Ltd in Hoddesdon is seeking a skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor to join our established team. You will inspect damaged commercial vehicles and prepare accurate repair estimates for customers, insurers, fleet operators and third parties using Audatex and manufacturer methods.

Collaborate with workshop and support teams, liaise with customers and insurers, maintain records, and deliver high‑quality service.

Responsabilités

• Conduct inspections and assessments of damaged commercial vehicles and HGVs.

• Identify repair requirements including parts and labour operations.
• Liaise with customers, insurers, engineers, and internal teams.
• Collaborate with workshop and operations to progress repairs.
• Maintain records and update management systems.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Damage Assessor to join a well-established team at our client's head office in Hoddesdon. This is an excellent Vehicle Damage Assessor opportunity for an experienced professional looking to develop their career within the commercial vehicle and HGV damage assessment sector.

Duties of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:

• Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of damaged commercial vehicles and HGVs
• Prepare accurate repair estimates for customers, insurers, fleet operators, and third parties
• Utilise industry-standard estimating systems such as Audatex and manufacturer methods
• Identify all repair requirements, including parts and labour operations
• Liaise effectively with customers, insurers, engineers, parts suppliers, and internal teams
• Collaborate closely with workshop, parts, and operations departments to ensure smooth repair progress
• Maintain accurate records and update internal management systems
• Negotiate repair costs with insurers and customers where necessary
• Deliver high-quality customer service and uphold a professional, courteous approach at all times

Requirements of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:

• Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA), Estimator, Damage Assessor or Commercial Vehicle Estimator
• Prior experience assessing commercial vehicles and HGV accident damage
• Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle repair methods and processes
• Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software such as Audatex
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Reliable, organised, and able to perform under pressure
• Professional attitude and customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence preferred
